Hi there
Just thought I'd mention this on the forum - as may be useful for some - I received an email this morning from companies made simple promoting a £1 for 1 day report - seems like a good deal to me - check it out here. So wanted to share it with you guys. I've used these company search services before - and the reports were very comprehensive - but I paid £7.95 - so I'll be topping up my account for sure at £1 a pop.
Best wishes
Michelle

Thanks Michelle. It's going well at the moment, lots being sold. Remember, you don't have to use the credit reports today, you can buy them up and use them later.

If anyone has any questions or would like some help in regards to this let me know.

Hi Matt
Yes - I've realised that. I've bought 8 so far - but I am using them up - the fully comprehensive report gives such a lot of info - it's compulsive buying, I keep thinking of who I else I want to check out. Really useful as we have two new clients who want sizeable websites so before we pitch it's useful to get an idea of the financial well being of their businesses. Websites don't tell you what a company credit report does! Keep up the great campaigns Matt. I'm finding this one, really useful.
Best wishes
Michelle

Hi lucy
That's interesting - what do you mean you do them for free. How does that work? What do your reports include? The ones I'm getting from Company Searches Made Simple are very comprehensive - director details, company details, group details, 5 years of accounts, credit scores, any ccjs, loans, mortgages etc etc. Is this what you offer?

If it is just the odd one now and then then i do them for free :) simples :)

I can imagine my report would be similar to what you have recieved (we all use similar systems).

On a general report i would do:-

  • Company Inc date
  • Company number
  • Registered address / trading address
  • Recommended credit limit
  • Rating
  • CCJ / Winding-Up Petition / high Court Writ details
  • Director detail (including previous / current interests in other companies and if they had / have CCJs)
I can supply the accounts information and mortgage information if required.

If you required credit checks on a frequent basis then we charge £25 per month but that is for our business support service (credit checks is a small part of it) i.e. you have access to our legal department.

Hope this helps :)

Barclays offer unlimited credit checks for £10 a month on their Business accounts, not sure if they sell it as a standalone deal though.

Im sure its not as good as the above offereings though.

I think it is only if you do your business banking with them although i am no big Barclays expert :)

I would 100% always recommend a credit report from someone independant though and who specialises in it as we know what to look for and dig a little deeper than i imagine the bank 9-5's would.

Just my opinion :)

Hi Mat
Just directed a company your way - they want to buy high volumes - can they still purchase the packages you have on the site today? I note that you have unlimited reports for £200 per year?

Brilliant! Thanks Michelle, that's really good of you. You can still purchase all the packages, including the unlimited for £200. It's only the £1 per report deal that stops at midnight.

I'm planning to get a credit card, can you suggest the best credit cards now. Thanks,
you would be best off looking at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/
unlike money supermarket they aren't biased by commision payments, it's a very usful site :)

also, what do you mean by best cards? if you want a good rate over a long period of time then the barclay card simplicity platinum is great at just 6.8%apr
or if you want to make a one off purchase and spread the costs interest free then the best is the tesco clubcard credit card with 0% for 12 months,

or if you plan on paying off your ballance every month then maybe a cash back card would suit your needs, barclay card do one and so do amex, both seem good but i would reccommend you read the terms before signing up :) hope this helps :)

Hi there
Because I bought credit reports last time from http://www.companysearchesmadesimple.com (when they ran their £1 for 1 day offer last month) - I received 'advanced notice' of the offer taking place today. Same offer - everything £1. Also - I follow them on Twitter @MadeSimpleGroup and notice that there is a special Twitter code offering a further 50% discount. So I'm thinking that means the reports can be bought for just 50p if you include the Twitter discount code. Bargain...

Hi, we provide the Companies House documents at cost for £1 (50p with our twitter and facebook codes!), these we label as "company documents". Our company reports include company info, credit rating, CCJ & Mortgages, annual accounts, directors, shareholders and more.

Looks our programmers missed a rather important bit of coding. The 50% Twitter discount code actually works on all the packages. Code: TW50SVTHF
Luckily for you all, we're not going to bother closing up this loophole today so take advantage of it while you can. =)
We learn from our mistakes (mostly) so I expect this loophole will be closed up before we run this promo next time.
