Closing a Dormany Ltd Company

Hi,

I have a dormant company that hasn't traded since being registered and I need to close it down. From reading forums, the government website, etc, it appears that sending a DS01 form to Companies House and HMRC is all that is required.

Before going ahead with this I wanted to ask if this is correct?

You are correct. If the company has not traded it may not be necessary to send a copy to HMRC.

It's probably a good idea to send a copy of the DS01 to HMRC anyway with a letter to say that the company never traded, otherwise they could object if they think some tax might be due.
