Checking some user profiles redirects me to upgrade the membership

I wanted to check the profile for a newly registered user (they are a free member like me) but, when I clicked on their profile I received this error

Is this to be expected?

Depends if it's a profile that has been deleted/banned for spamming etc. We have had a bit of a cull and are still going through some more too, drop a DM to @Ethan39 and he'll be able to check if this is the reason.

There is a known issue on this site at the moment where if you try to access an area restricted to Mods, Admins, it still treats that as needing to upgrade your membership (pay).

Hi folks,

Just dropping in to confirm that; yes, there is an issue with the permissions page appearing where it shouldn't.

We have an open item to investigate, but, as the issue only affects members trying to view deleted content, this is not at the top of our pile of dev work.

Thanks for flagging this to us, I'll try and update this thread in the future once we've got more of an indication of timescales.
