Can I get a quote for preparing the accounts for my dormant company please?

Hi,

I would need a quote for some services regarding my dormant company.

It's a private company incorporated on 10 September 2021

Registered office in London.

I am based in Italy. I am the sole director, sole shareholder, no employees.

The company has never made a sale. The last purchase of material was December 2021. I'm not intending to trade for the foreseeable future.

I guess the company has been dormant for some time, but I haven't given any formal communication about it to neither CH nor HMRC.

I filed the last confirmation statement on 21st September 2023.

On 04 Jan 2023 my accountant at the time filed micro company accounts made up to 30 September 2022.

Now I would need a chartered accountant to help me file the company accounts up to 30 September 2023 and tell HMRC the company is not trading.

Could somebody reach me with a quote for that please?

Thanks,
Dan

Follow the link it fairly straight forward to complete:

Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately I don't fill confident submitting the dormant account form - I've never done that.

Also, it says "this accounts format is only suitable for companies that have never traded". Can I use it?
I've never made a sale but I've purchased some material in 2021 (a few hundred pounds' worth). Does that count as trading for CH?

It means the company is not dormant for the purposes of form AA02. You need to submiit accounts using web filing.

To prepare your accounts you need to download last year's accounts from Companies House. You do not need to sign in for this, they are freely available.
The figures for this will go into the previous year's accounts column
The bank figure should be reduced by the £13 paid.
Shareholders funds will be increased by the £13 paid if they are negative already

Dissolve the company perhaps? Why keep it dormant?

Paul.
Thanks Paul for the suggestion.

I thought about it. The fact is that I may start a business from Italy (where I am now), and also having a UK business entity may be beneficial. In that case, if I had to start a new UK company as a non-resident, I believe that would be quite complex.
