Hi guys

Can anyone recommend a good value web filtering software to limit internet access to non-work sites. We are a business on 15 staff / 10 computers / single broadband source / router.

If possible, some computers / users would have full access for marketing.

Many thanks in advance for any help
Al

Hi Bigbird82,

I am in the process of founding FilterBee, a web-filtering solution that provides exactly the functionality you have mentioned, however it is currently aimed at the home market.

We would love to speak with you in more detail to see whether there is a SME market for the product and would be more than happy to provide it at a discount if you were prepared to act as a reference site.

To find out more, please Google 'FilterBee' (I've just registered so I can't post URL's :-( or contact me via the Private Message function on this forum.

Rgds, Nick.

The best web filtering software for your school, business, library or any other type of organization is not really a software program at all. SiteSURV from CyberPatrol is actually a web-based filtering service that requires no installation of additional user application software or hardware, making it the more sensible web filtering alternative for your organization.
The Best Internet Filter for Multiple Computers

No matter if your organization makes use of 5 computers or 50, SiteSURV has your Internet security covered. The fact that SiteSURV is web based means you can manage filtering activities from one remote PC with Internet access. You won't have to waste time and money installing more software each time you add or replace a computer.
Customized Filtering Capabilities

In the real world, there are probably as many different Internet filtering needs as there are organizations that use the Web. That's why CyberPatrol believes the best Internet filter should be one that allows you to customize it to your organization's specific needs.

With SiteSURV, you can filter by 44 different website categories, or choose to create your own customized list of blocked and allowed sites. If you use a list of individual websites, you can easily make additions or deletions as necessary.
Filtering by Access Point

Computers typically access the Internet through routers or servers, which are referred to as "access points." With SiteSURV, you have the ability to connect to all computers that share a common access point, meaning you can manage the corporate web filtering for several computers from one remote location. In fact, you'll be able to manage all PCs on up to four access points.

I have been working a lot at the moment with web filtering software in my company what is it exactly you are looking to do from it? Or is it just basic page blocking? There are quite a few in the market and you might not require that could work out cheaper for you.
