Beta Testers wanted for Lead Generation Service

I see a lot of posts on these forums from businesses asking how to find new customers. This is something I do professionally, finding customers who have the need for my company's software products.

Over the years I have refined and automated this approach, and am thinking of offering it as a paid service, but first I am looking for a few (3-5) customers to test it out for free, and with zero obligation.

The service is LinkedIn-based (I have found emailing less effective - you are never sure if you have the right person / email address and more and more email servers are blocking what they consider SPAM)

Method
1) Identify the prospects using a Linkedin search - eg title, company, keyword. This is the only manual step, all steps after this are automated.
2) Send a LinkedIn connection request with a short 'elevator pitch' of the value
3) On acceptance of the connection request, wait a couple of days then send a LinkedIn message asking if they are open for a discussion, or pushing a call to action (eg a weblink)
4) Repeat the above step 5 times (max 10 I would suggest) over the course of 10 - 20 days
5) If the prospect does not respond, send a final 'Thanks for the connect, sorry we could not speak further' message. You have lost nothing

It is exactly what one would do for an individual prospect, but I can do it for hundreds of prospects at the same time.

Simple, right? It is not perfect but what is? I prefer it over email only, because people typically keep their LinkedIn profile up to date, so you have more chance of finding the correct person, and LinkedIn message stand out more, not being lost in the prospect's inbox.

In terms of effectiveness, that depends on how good your value proposition is and how relevant it is to the prospects you have identified. I am typically happy with a 5 - 7% reply rate.

As I say, I am looking to try this out with a wider range of test cases, so if you are interested in trialling this for free , and you can identify 100-300 prospects on LinkedIn with a qvery (eg. by job title) then get in touch.

How did it go I might be interested
Hi,

I did run a campaign with another UKBF member. We contacted 250 prospects via Linkedin, 33 accepted the connection request and 3 responded to a message.

A lot will depend on the selection of the target prospects and how good the value proposition is.

If I look across all the campaigns I have run, I have contacted 4.2k prospects and had 322 responses to my messages.

Would you like to discuss further?

Kenny
