I need to post out 30 parcels a day - all very small, less than 15cm cube.
Average weight is less than 500g.

Currently using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.
First Class cost £4.20 on a business account.

Is there a cheaper better way to send?
Need to be next day.

I looked at Royal Mail 24 delivery... but the price I see is £4.90. Might as well stay with what I have.

Thanks.

I'd use royal mail click and drop, with no discount I'm paying £2.71 2nd class. I don't use recorded delivery, its tracked delivery by royal mail anyway. Enough to tell a customer claiming item not received exactly when it was delivered to his house anyway.

With 30 parcels a day you'd be paying less than £2.71 for same service.

Mr D, thanks for the reply.
The problem with Click and Drop is that there is no space for custom information.

Let's say I get a customer who buys XYZ, in colour pink, style ABC and size 10 - let's say they buy 3 products similar in variations.

I need all the purchase information on my address label.
Not possible with the Royal Mail system.

I've asked many many times - each time they seem to be a bunch of clueless monkeys.
(90% of the time very polite and trying to help - albeit it's beyond their control to make better.)

Not for next day delivery.
Cheapest is Hermes - 3-5 day delivery.

I thought there would be loads of people here who post out orders.
Is everyone here doing dropshipping or internet marketing only?

We post out orders but not apparently with the same information needed on paperwork as you.
We have the purchase information on the packing slip which is printed integrated with the address label. Peel and stick address label, stick packing slip inside box / envelope and seal.

Why do you need this information on the address label?

Surely you pack your orders with invoices/packing slips then it's just a case of attaching the address label to the parcel?

Click and Drop saves weights of SKU's so if the customer purchased XYZ it would calculate the weights of each X, Y & Z so you'd have the exact weight in the system ready as well as all the address information is extracted from Ebay, Amazon, Shopify etc. Royal Mail 24 £2.74 ex VAT for parcel average weight under 1kg and you'll get a discount as you'll send above 20 a day.

You can add signed for (recorded delivery) but there seems little point as they have the 2D delivery confirmation.
