"Authorising your agent" form

hi all,
I'm newbie to running a business and to this site. I'm a one man band and I just registered a company, and recieved some forms from the Inland revenue.
My question is with regards to the "authorising your agent form". Do i need to authorise an agent to act on my behalf? cant i just do that job myself???

That form basically authorises your accountant to deal direct with the Inland Revenue on your behalf. If you are starting your own business you should have appointed an accountant to work with you, and then completing this form should be part of your initial discussions with your accountant.
