Hi All

Yes, I know there is a Tenders sections, and I have placed a post in there, but it doesn't seem to be getting many views - and only one or two interested people.

So if you or someone you know would like to do audio typing from home, then go to the following thread in the Tenders Section:

Thanks

It appears some people cannot see my original post in the Tenders section, so I'm repeating it here...

As many of you know I run Bananaoffice - but I also run APA Secretarial.

APA Secretarial is a copy typing/audio transcription service providing typing mainly to researchers at universities.

We have a number of jobs at the moment, plus more coming up and we are now looking to increase the number of typists for transcribing audio files.

You will be self-employed and need to be able to handle digitally recorded files in wav, wma, and dss (Olympus) formats. We also get dvf (Sony) format but these we convert before sending to you. Completed transcripts would be in Word format and following our layout and mark-up format.

You need to have experience transcribing 1-2-1 interviews, focus groups, dictation, etc. You will also need an "ear for accents" as the recordings we get can be with a wide range of nationalities.

You need to be available on a regular basis to transcribe work as and when we require.

We pay £7.00 per typing hour. All applicants will be asked to complete two 15 minute audio tests and the pass rate will be 90%. Living near our premises is not important as digital files can be sent electronically.

If you would like further information, in the first instance please contact me at: [email protected].

If you know of anyone that would like to do the above please show them this post.
