Assistance if possible

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum but i am looking for some assistance.

We currently operate a successful financial portal specifically targeting UK residential customers.

After numerous requests from clients we have now added a "finance forum" to the site. LAUNCHED TODAY - 10th Dec 04

Obviously i dont wish to take members from this forum as it is more expansive than ours. It would be good if we could encourage posters to sign up for both forums.

I am going to become more active on this forum as it does cover a number of topics i could help people with.

Hope to see some of you at the Finance Specific Forum

Check it out at http://www.ocularisfinance.com

Also if any financial professionals have any comments on the site i look forward to hearing them!!

Thanks in advance

Hi

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your own one

I took a look at the site and thought at first it might be a good reference point for me when talking to clients about such matters. However, I didn't find it as informative as I would have liked - perhaps too much of a portal for that purpose.

On the non status bank accounts, I couldn't see anywhere what people were paying their money for - I guess that is the fee for you helping them get an account they might otherwise struggle to get, but it seemed from the links that you took people straight to a page where they are epxected to make the payment - maybe a bit of explanation would help.

You might want to proof read the site as well - in the menus in at least one place there is a typo - lons instead of loans.

HTH

Regards

Thanks for the feedback.

I take it by being informative you mean include more descriptions for example "what is a mortgage"

I know that was a simple example but i think i know what you mean, like explaining types of mortgage etc.

We will put some work into that side as we would like it to become a good reference point for potential clients.

As for typos - i put alot of time in by working through the night!!! Will check on that.

Once again thanks - the feedback is invaluable.

Actually on the informative front from my point of view as an accountant, that could possibly direct clients to the site, I guess I was looking for info which would enable me to make a suggestion to a client eg a good deal for non status mortgages at the moment is.......

Also, that my clients if directed to the site would be able to get some kind of guidance - at the moment it seems like they could go via your portal, but might still need to visit and navigate through several sites, without necessarily finding what is relevant to their circumstances.
