aquiring a shop lease

Hello,
i am trying to aquire a shop lease in the city centre.
i will be using the shop for retail purposes, but i am finding it very difficult because i have no reference / business background. trhe estage agents want to see bank reference, trade reference etc..
how can i get around these factors.

Hi Shak,
Put simply I'm afraid you can't. If the landlord wants to see these then its up to them if they want to lease the premises to you or not.
Perhaps ask if any other form of refreneces will be ok?

what if i get references of a friend. he is running a succesful business in retail, and is willing to give a reference, and even get a reference of his suppliers in my name. I know its not being 100% honest, but i have no other choice- what do you think, the estate agent cant really refuse can they?
