Hi

I was surprised to see a google PR6 on a subdomain - whilst the main domain www.ukshopsnet.com achieves a PR5 - why is this - I have not developed my subdomains for a long time. I have put all my effort into the main domain... any explanations????

Cheers
Phil

subdomains are treated as a totally seperate entity by the search engines and their spiders, so going by probability especially in google that you have higher PR ratings inbound/outbound links which are more specific to actual page(s) going to/from your subdomain as compaired to your main domain name.

But i only going on probability and could be other reasons as well but i wouldn't spend too much time trying to figure out when both PR 5-6. i would only spend the time if they suddenly went down the rankings.
