Hi Jack, I work for a company called NRS media we are a worldwide marketing company specialising in giving advice to Small to Medium size businesses. Please get in touch. The first thing I would start with is what is your objective?, Who are you looking to contact? is there a certain demographic that you feel your product or service will most likely Suit? this is before you start choosing where to place your money. I see it all the time where people rush out and start marketing in places that don't suit their business or service. My advice would be start with the basics. Think of who you would like to target then seek the advice. Even ask around people who you know about your services this will give you a bit of an idea of whom to target.

Hi Jack - (Advert removed by Moderator) is designed specifically for small businesses and startups in mind. The programme starts with an initial consultation and then you will receive your personal marketing/advertising plan. We then implement what we can with 5 credits a month, or we can use the credits to train you so you can even learn the basics.

Each month we revisit the strategy and performance to see what has been working, and then we revise and adapt your plan to ensure you're moving in the right direction.

Please feel free to get in touch if you need to know more. Good luck :)

The OP was asking for help with development of an advertising plan - do you have extensive experience of media buying, copywriting, design, strategy etc for offline advertising campaigns?

Do you already have a strategic marketing plan in place?
Agree. No point laying into advertising, even at planning stage, before nailing your marketing strategy and cementing your identity. You may have already done this and sorry for emphasising if so but it is *critical*

Also, excuse the question if irritating but if your business is not growing at an acceptable rate, then could the fault lie more fundamentally within the business? Unless you are super fresh start-up, advertising for a professional services firm ( I see you are involved in accountancy services) shouldn't really be necessary.. why? because growth is generated by reputation, satisfaction and referrals from an existing client base.

Have you measured satisfaction amongst your existing clients?

    Hi Suitontherun

All of my clients are very happy and do refer but what I am finding is that all of my current clients operate with in the same circles so my concern is that eventually the referrals will dry up unless I inject some new blood so to speak.

From January to the end of September my revenue has increased by 23k primarily from referrals and the odd fresh enquiry.

The service that I provide is unlike an other accountant in the UK but clients do not have a pay a small fortune for it. I know that if I can market the business in the correct way then new enquires will come flooding in and referrals will just be a bonus.

    Thanks

    Jack
