Well, I'd say it depends... other than liking fashion, what do you know about designing clothes? Colors? Textures? Sizing? Sewing, or working with a seamstress? Selling clothing? Would you sell one-of-a-kind designs or several of the same design? Where would you get your fabrics, labels, and other supplies needed for making the clothes? How would you pay your designers? Would their names be on the label or yours? Do you have business experience or know how to run a store of any kind?

While the idea has merit, and it COULD turn into something viable, I think... there are a LOT of questions you'd need answers to before you begin.

I'd suggest that you find a free business plan form online (there are many) and create a simple business plan. That will give you a better grasp of where you stand and help you see if this is something that could work for you. Good luck with it!

i would say with the right market, you can make things going.
selling in facebook to your friends is one way to do it.
zencart+facebook would be a great combination.

i do have the combination ready and i can give it to you. but its still in beta stages.

Fashion- Unless you are really really passionate about fashion, know the market, the trends, the seasons, can spot the next best thing, your a trend setter, you sleep fashion, fashion is everything to you....... Then you will not make it. I've got a funny feeling this is an idea and not a love for everything fashion.....

Speak to a member on here called Maria102, she has worked very hard to open a fashion boutique, and will be able to give you sterling advice on how to go about it. If you are scared of hard work, then don't bother Maria, she is a busy lady and you'd be wasting both of your time :)

Hi there - its great when your business idea is something that you are personally interested in as well. Understand that a business has to be profitable and it has to have growth potential. Spend some time doing as much research as you can for the next few week s- this can all be done for nothing. Also - consider going online with your idea - there are some make up people online with 200,000 youtube views in 2 days and I bet they are selling stuff with very low costs.

Good luck but do plenty of research.

Hi

When you can do a job you are a passionate about then it's a great way to wake up in the morning.

Like others have mentioned the idea sounds pretty good but will take research.

If you don't have much of a budget then I would look to starting small - online is great because your not paying the expensive rent.

Also, maybe look to getting a partner in to share costs - perhaps someone who knows more about the areas you are not experiened in.

All the best with this idea!
