Sick Pay Question

    I have an employee who has been off sick for a couple of weeks.

    I Let them use holidays for the first week then they came in for a day then back off work.

    Employee has today brought in a sick note dated from the very first day off sick

    When should I pay sick pay from?

    Please could you give actual dates.
    Did they ask to use holidays for the first week? What dates were they on holiday and what dates are on the sick note? Which days of the week do they work?

    They used holidays for the first week.
    Was off Monday this week.
    Came in Tuesday.
    Been off since Wednesday

    Sick note dated from 7th April (Last Tuesday)

    They get SSP every day they were off sick as it is all after 6 April.
