This war has caused some delays in shipping and air freight
This is nothing new it happens every day

It is possible for me to get real time info on all flight and sea routes that maynot be available collectively to most businesses.

I could get this uploaded to a site or App for customers to understand and be aware of delays and Im wondering if I could monetise it

This is not my first rodeo in this
I was involved in early tracking system sharing. for parcels and pallets that was developed way back for Blackberry operating system. It was good but lack of platform development and the data protection act and other legal issues surrounding the sharing of data killed it

What do you people think ?

    Many Thanks
I was looking at a one stop point for all movements possibly with data detailing what carriers are using that vessel/flight

The further alternative takes us back to tracking invidual consignment with no authorisation That's a no goer in 2026

I think it is a must!
I actually had this discussion with my delivery company. I asked them to provide tracking numbers for clients so we can prepare ourselves for delivery. In my case, if I know when the items are arriving, I can put the items on sale a few days before they arrive and let customers know when they can purchase.
They said they already track the deliveries, but they don’t share this information with clients because customs delays and port waiting times are not within their control. As a result, they end up receiving many queries from clients asking where the delivery is, and they spend too much time answering those questions. I found that a bit strange — they could easily explain the reason for the delay or even use AI to respond to those queries.

How detailed could you get with the carriers? I mean can you track niche as well as the likes of ups/dhl?
    Yes Nick
