Which couriers do you use and do you go direct or use an aggregator?

Reviewing again our couriers, Not sure if we have the volume to go direct to couriers (sending on average over the year 75 a day) or use an aggregator like ParcelHub or InXpress

Our business does about 30-40 shipments a week under normal trading conditions.

For standard deliveries to the UK we use the aggregator Parcel2Go to access Evri but I would not recommend P2G as if something goes wrong, they are very unhelpful. For us it's just a necessary evil.

For next day deliveries we use DPD and find them pretty solid.

International is DHL.

Just to jump on this thread with our own query....

We send around 30-50 parcels a day on a next day delivery - mainly B2B. Around 20% of them are longer length parcels (1.77m long).

We used DPD for nearly 10 years until they increased our longer length surcharge to £13 and since then have been using InXpress. Price is pretty good, but the service from InXpress is not & the DHL parcel driver that collects is very unreliable (turns up any time from 5.30pm to 7.30pm) so we're getting to the point where we need to look elsewhere again so we can get home at a decent time of an evening!!

Does anyone else have good experiences with a B2B next day courier service that is competitive & doesn't charge a fortune for longer length parcels?

Do you send within UK or internationally as well?
If internationally it's good to find yourself logistics/courier broker as we deal with multiple courier companies and can find the best solution tailored for you. In this matter write me a message for details. When working internally with this amount of shipments we always recommend Royal Mail for smaller packages. Doesn't have big experience with bigger parcels nationally I'm affraid.

We ship a reasonable volume of larger items on next-day services and the best prices and most reliable at present (we have found) are with Parcelforce's 48 Large service. We have tried UPS, DPD and DHL but they are prohibitively expensive for our clients.

DPD's collections have been hit and miss recently due to the Royal Mail/Parcelforce strikes I'm guessing and the ability to cope with huge unplanned volume increases.
