    Hi all,

    I have recently started selling my own branded clothing online,and have no prior experience with trying to start a business and selling on my own website.

    I only have experience with eBay etc so this is completely different, I'm just looking for any advice/tips and knowledge from anyone who has similar experience in this field, including ,clothing design, what makes a good website /homepage etc, ways of marketing and gaining website traffic, general startup tips and anything else you feel I should know that could help me in general.

    Also happy to hear any personal stories, experiences with anyone else who has started or thinking about starting up.

    Well were to begin:

    * First the online clothing market place is huge, what will make your brand stand out from the rest?
    * Do you have a massive social media following which you are going to tap into?
    * If not be prepared to spend a lot of money on marketing?
    * Can you build your own website or do you need to pay someone else?
    * What type of merchandise are you selling, helps if its niche?
    * Are you designing and sourcing your own merchandise at present?

    Really not trying to put you off but as you can imagine there's a lot to think about before you start throwing serious amounts of money into this
