    Hello,

    I am going into the sock business and I have found some good suppliers in the UK but i'm looking to cut out the middle man and go directly to the manufacturers. I hear a lot are made in turkey and china but have had no look getting in contact with any of the companies. Does anyone know of any?

    I would really appreciate anyone's input on this.

    There are many countries where you can source this kind of product at competitive prices. China is one of these and does have the advantage of being able to produce high quality garments if required. The most important factor will be quantity. To make it viable you need to place a large enough order. This has too effects, it brings the manufacturing cost down and it also reduces shipping costs which is a significant component of the price.

    I think that today China is producing everything for the rest of the world. It is still perceived that this market is cheapest but I think that it is not anymore. I would suggest to seek to some small countries within Balkans and East, because I have heard that Chinese are now outsourcing there
