Afternoon all, I haven’t posted on here in a long time ! After speaking to a local business advisor I’ve made the decision to sub contract part of my company.
My business is basically split into 3 areas and it’s one area that I just haven’t got the time or passion to continue anymore, however...
I have done for the past couple years. If you are looking for a simple website to upload products yourself when needed then they are great. And you get a free trial too which you can then transfer over to your paid site if you decide to stay with them so your work isn't lost. Can't hurt to use...
you should try contacting some companies out there who already sell these and ask them. It can't hurt to ask. They've all been in the same position and are probably happy to help. I know Paula from 'Mrs Bishops Dogi deli' very well. I'm sure she will reply to you. They have just expanded their...
I have my own site, and sell through several handmade websites, I'm toying with the idea of selling through Amazon. Does anybody else use it and how well do you do?
I thought it would be quite good particuraly in searches as when I search for particular items Amazon usually comes quite high up?
Make sure you bring your hammer!!!! I forgot it once and had to hunt one down for my marquee so it didn't fly away!
Also side panels in case it rains (hopefully not!)
And a camera, depending on what your selling. I try to get images for my website of dogs in my products.
What kind of festival is it? I exhibit at quite a few things at the showground. You could try stallholder.net although that's mainly for craft events but you would probably get a lot of interest still
Fantastic, thanks for all the advice here, very interesting to read what has been said. It's just as well as the flippin' timeline thing on facebook is really annoying me and I've lost hours trying to make my page more manageable!
I do a lot of events at the weekends to get my name out there. People are already starting to recognise my name and images of my dogs in bandanas!
I use facebook, was just starting to get orders through my page then had to change it to timeline, now it is so confusing, my customers can't see who...
I hope so, postage costs and the time it takes to receive products seems to be increasing from abroad so it would be nice to see an increase on home grown products and support our designers/manufacturers. The Mary Portas thing is on this week I think. I'm going to see what she has to say about...
I was just about to vote for you but I think funding has stopped for this month, does that mean we can't vote anymore until next month? I too have applied for this but just waiting to hear back. I know of somebody who got the £500, all above board. Good luck with your application and let me know...
Hi Scott
I can't really help you on the ins and outs of your shop as I don't have my own, but I do make pet clothing and accessories which i sell at events and online. Do get in touch if you are looking for a supplier and something a bit different.
Thanks & Good Luck!
Dee
