    Help me start a business

I'm not sure how appealing (or even how legal) this would be to be honest. Using information that you find on social networking sites to help decide whether or not to employ someone? How could you really judge someone by the way they act on Facebook and assume they'll act in the same way at...

    Help me start a business

What techniques are you going to use to check up on references? A lot of big companies use external agencies already to check out references as well as to perform plenty of other checks (criminal check, address history check, credit check, employment history check etc). All of these individual...

    Change disk size

I would probably keep it even simpler and just move some stuff over to the d drive and make the effort to save more stuff there in the future.

Who And How Do You Rate Your Broadband Providers

I guess you got inspired for this thread from the other one? I have O2 home broadband and it runs really well. I pay £7.33 a month and have unlimited bandwidth and an 8mb connection. I've never had connection problems so far. :)

ORANGE broadband - WHAT A JOKE!

^^ But that's Vodafone and the OP is talking about Orange. It would be interesting to hear their reasoning behind only wanting to accept credit card.

ORANGE broadband - WHAT A JOKE!

Yeah, I've found Orange to be fairly rubbish as well. I was with them for about 3 years beacause I was too lazy to bother changing. During that time I had a very slow connection and one which kept disconnecting as it pleased. When I initially joined them they said we had to have a credit card to...

What are the laws regarding commision only roles?

Hi all, I've been unemployed since the end of December and I've been getting offered jobs which are commision only, these jobs don't even offer a basic salary. I wondered what the legalities are over commision only jobs? What happens if I took one of these jobs but didn't perform well, surely...

Is it legal to employ foreign people for below minimum wage?

Cheers guys, I assumed it was illegal and is definately wrong. I find it suprising that it happens so often though, foreign people working here should be made aware of the minimum wage and be told not accept any less as it is illegal.

Is it legal to employ foreign people for below minimum wage?

I hear lots of stories of people from different countries working here for less than minimum wage, sometimes as low as £2 an hour. How is it possible to pay people this little? Is it because they are not UK citizens or is it actually illegal to pay below minimum wage no matter what?

How many coffees do you have a working day?

I'll have about 2 decaf coffee's a day. Caffeine causes all sorts of problems including increased levels of anxiety, people that are having too much coffee/tea should trying cutting back and seeing if they feel any different. :)

    We was robbed

Lol! I hate to think what would happen when an employee of yours wants to move their monitor forward so they can see it better!! Sorry about your loss, hope they catch whoever did it.

Are you a Mac or a PC?

It's clever how Microsoft have taken 'I'm a PC' and associated it with Windows when the PC architecture could just as easily be associated with many other operating systems.

All I really want is money in my pocket!

Lol, catchy song. I think the original video is better though given the current climate: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=s6bNKS8QAjM :)
