Sounds like it's worth testing. It's not difficult to turn 3D secure off in Sagepay. You can then just monitor your conversion rate and fraud liability. Hopefully your conversion rate will go up without the chargeback bill going up...
Unfortunately 3D secure has always been off for us, so...
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of changing hosting. My shopping list is this:
Reliable - site remains up
Fast - this is really important, I want fast servers and quick response times
Good Customer Service - I want to be able to speak to someone in the event of a problem and I want them to be...
I was having some issues with the implementation of 3D Secure in my shopping cart, so I disabled it (admittedly this was 2 years ago) and we haven't gone back to implement it as I'm not sure the issue is fully resolved and at the time, there was still a lot of negative press about 3D Secure...
Thanks - Googling for a contract of hire template as we speak. What would you class as a hefty deposit? The remaining 70% of the value if we did the 30% hire fee?
It's homeware things really, small furniture, a couple of toys, decorative things to bulk out a room, rather than things like clothing which would be much trickier to re-sell...
Thanks again for all your input, we've got zero experience in this area, so it's really great to get so much input...
Thanks Stretchy, that's also given me something to think about.... As I mentioned in my reply to Graeme, I do think the sales price must have some bearing on the amount I charge though... I can't charge as much to hire as to sell, so I need to consider this, but I will balance it against...
Thanks Graeme, that's given me some food for thought. I was originally thinking something like 10% of the sale value, but I may up that given the convenience factor you mention below. I do think the sales price has to have some bearing on the end price - after all if you're charging nearly as...
Hi Everyone,
We are a retailer in an unusual position. We've been approached by a production company who want to hire some of the products we sell.... We're only talking about a couple of days loan of the items and any damage will be covered.
My question is - what do we charge for the...
Glad you found this useful patientlady - there's definitely a lot for us all to learn in this area. I don't have a full epos system yet, but am very seriously considering an upgrade. I have seen one system with loyalty built in which was excellent but completely out of our budget :-(
Thanks Designer, that's really useful and you make some points I hadn't considered - particularly the mid way point incentive.
Just out of interest - are you tieing your scheme to a loyalty database at all? And if so, is this a proprietary system?
I'm really at the information gathering stage now, rather than budget setting. I'm just trying to understand everything before I get to that point. Of course, being a small one store retailer, we don't have huge budgets, but I would be prepared to invest if I can identify a case for a decent...
