Hi all, I feel I'm quite good at direct selling and have done canvassing for a few years now and looking to get some customers (not leads) for local paving companies going door to door. I have a few general questions about the paving sector especially block-paving if anyone can answer:
What is...
Hi, bit off topic and may seem silly but I was wondering if I can add anything to my address that makes it appear more professional. I have an office/room at my home dedicated for my business..
E.g. could I add Business Name suite 1 or perhaps unit 1, office 1 above my address and still have it...
I understand the different schemes. I think you need to read my messages again :)
Oh, (regardless of percentage) they calculate Flat rate and Standard differently. Glad I was right and not going mad.
That was just an example showing how HMRC would also expect £200 if a customer paid £1000 into my bank. Whether 12.5% or standard 20%, £1000 or £1200.. their calculation still shows I would owe them £200. If they are getting £150 from £1200 at 12.5% they would also get £200 from £1000 at 20%.

How am I going wrong?

IF exempt, would I even have to register for VAT (Assuming entry...
They are different models to mine as they simply refer a trade or sell contact information.. I'll be taking payment from the customer and paying the trade direct. I have marketing/profits/traffic/economy/brand all sorted, my main concern is Liability and Employment status.
I'm mainly just brainstorming but I'd like to start gardening service as a broker/agent/middleman. I have access to a lot a homeowners/clients. Here's my basic model:
I'd take job details & payment (my fee on top) from the customer.
Send details and payment to the nearest trade/worker/business...
Hi, I'd like to start a contracting business (basic: I get the jobs and pay subcontractors to do the work). Could you point me to any similar business model examples or do you have any tips for working with subcontractors? My biggest challenge so far while researching is pricing, and VAT.. Is...
Does anyone have experience with RM Door to Door? I've tried to register an online account twice in the last month with no luck. When I phone they say I need to book before I can see prices of collection.
Any help or pitfalls I should be aware of?
(Not interested in other door to door services)
