    Employee requesting redundancy

Out of interest how could anyone prove there was not a redundancy situation? For example if I could show my projected turnover was to fall by 40% in the next financial year, would that not be proof of a redundancy situation being valid?

That’s what I’m getting at, how can it be unfair if it’s there request?

    Employee requesting redundancy

I think it’s likely he would continue to play the system, it’s a way of him going with a lump sum rather than nothing or continue with sick pay

    Employee requesting redundancy

I have an employee who has a long history of long term sickness. Today at a return to work meeting after 5 months off sick the employee has asked if he could be made redundant. To be honest this suits me, sure it will cost but it’s a relief to be able to put this thing to bed so to speak. Can...

    tupe measures

Yes I guess it’s more psychological, I know the legal position, I just want opinions based on the best way for me to handle it. Both options are legal but if I’m fully open in the measures it risks the transaction being protracted and add considerably to the costs. It’s perfectly legal to...

Tupe measures I am taking some legal advice but just wanted some other opinions from employers who have done similar. I’m just about to send a measures letter, do I keep it simple to help the transaction go through in a clean way or do I go into detail which may slow things down. Basically I...

    Buying a van

Cheers Cheers Gordon, What sort of rates are we talking? I have A1 personal credit but it’s a new start business. What sort of deposit are we talking based on a £18,000 plus vat van? Can I use this type of finance to buy privately or does it need to be a dealer? Thanks

Just looking at similar, question is as I’m a start up do I apply for the finance in my personal name and pay through the ltd company? Not sure credit will go through in company name as it’s new and can get great apr rate in my name. Know I’d be personally liable but sure if in company name they...
