    Sat Nav's set to scam

Not picking on the poster (and going OT), but... Isn't this part of the reason we have a skills issue in the UK - we rely far too much on others (or IT/Systems) to do things for us, rather than working it out ourselves?

    I've spotted a potential client

As another thought - if it's a large company, surely their IT Mgr (or whoever) would be better to contact than the MD?

Newsagents - Where to start with suppliers?

Theres quite a lot to think about - happy to advise on any aspect. - Has your family member checked to see if there are enough potential customers? - Have you had a look at rent/rents/utilities in the area? - What state is the building/shop in? How much would you need to spend on new...

    Undercover Boss - Undercover Employee?

I know some companies who already do this sort of thing in-house. So yes, there is a market for it, if the proposition was right etc...

How to approach gift shops in London? Is that easy or not?

Hi, can you send me a PM - may be able to put you in touch with a supplier/manufacturer who will meet your needs.

    Business Desks

Not used them personally, but Regus do this sort of thing I believe. WHSmith sell Regus 'packs' which you simply activate then go to your chosen office for either a day, week or month, depending on which pack you buy.

    Village shop

I think the bank would want to see some sort of business plan rather than you just turning up & asking for some cash ;) You need to know if it is going to be a viable business or not. If you send me a PM I can go over some figures with you if you'd rather not post them on an open forum.

    Village shop

Hi, For a start you'll have to check to see what usage the shop is registered for, which may limit what things you can do (i.e A1 / A3). For papers, you'll need to set up an account for your local distributor (Smiths News or Menzies). There's quite a lot involved though - have you got...

    Salary Advance...

As someone previously said - why would any company effectively 'pay you' before you even get your foot into the office door? I'd happily 'advance' to current employees, but it would be a bit risky to advance to someone I'd met at interview who could potentially take the money & run. N.B...

    MySQL Problem - Opencart

So you copy the 'additional' image for each product to the 'default' image? If you do it through Excel, you can copy/paste the entire column surely? Maybe I've not understood it right...

    MySQL Problem - Opencart

Hi, Wouldn't it be easier to 'backup' the product file, dump it into Excel, and copy/paste the correct image as the main picture? I haven't tried it, but I'm sure it would work?

    Logo Needed

Not sure where to put this request... but here goes... Doing some web design for a customer, and they need a logo doing for the site. It doesn't have to be anything fancy at all - the site is just a test at this stage, and whilst the site will be live in the next month or so, it's very much...

    Shopping Basket Function Required

Depends on your web site - but you're probably better off starting from scratch with one of the Open Source options (Opencart, Cre, OScommerce etc), and then designing is to look like your current site. It's something we do quite a bit.

    Santandar getting worst!!

Did you also inform Santander that you'd stopped the 2 Direct Debits? If not, and the company hasn't done anything about not stopping them, then how are Santander to know? Just playing devils advocate - I had a run-in with them last month (and they eventally agreed to knock of most of their...
