    I was always taught the value of a business was Net Assets + Goodwill If you have access to this information have a look how far away from the Net Assets figure the valuation currently stands at and then question how the remaining goodwill was applied.

    No, not against the law but I dont think it would benefit aither party. If I walked into a pub and was offered say... a Ralph Lauren polo shirt the first things that would cross my mind is its stolen so no and this pub must be rough.
