Hi everyone,
I was wondering how I go about winding down/closing a company that has not yet started trading?
I've looked at the Companies House website, but that doesn't make much sense to me.
P.S I meant winding down in the title, my heads not on straight today.
Isn't this theoretically drop-shipping? Removing the option of allowing the retailers to stock the item has a downside too remember, they'll never have a guarentee that stock will be available, nor will they know your stock levels.
I'm sorry, but you didn't look very hard did you?
Type "scottish data centers" into Google, it gave me 739,000 results with the first result being Scolocate.
I'm not saying the seller is lying, I'm saying PayPal is too lazy to investigate, and they'll take the easy option by refunding the money to the scammer and closing the fraud-enquiry.
Rarely happens though, but when it does, it's a pain in the backside.
Hi guys,
Simple question, do I need to register a new company or anything, to put "A trading as B"? Where B is the trading name and A is the limited company name.
Yes and no.
Usually the scammer will wait until the item has arrived before claiming they did not recieve it, thus making the courier believe your lying, and therefore, you won't get any compensation from the insurance. However, PayPal would refund the money that the scammer paid you - the...
Hi Jessica,
I've personally found SagePay to be alright, it offers another payment method (which is always good), and it's rates are reasonable.
I'll send you a PM now, you may find it of interest.
If you only sell within the European Union, I wouldn't worry, theres enough laws in place to help you if a scammer did ever fraudently take your money.
When I said 'any' website, I meant it quite loosely, because they'll often stick to eBay or familar grounds, so I wouldn't worry if I were you...
Usually what happens is;
Your item is on eBay.
The scammer buys the item.
You ship the item.
The scammer recieves the item.
The scammer tells PayPal they didn't recieve the item.
PayPal ignores all claims by you that you sent it (even if you send them tracking numbers).
The scammer reclaims the...
Hi guys,
I have a rather dodgy issue here.
I've read that for the purposes of accounts and invoicing, you do not need to be registered as a data controller.
The issue I have, is I really don't have the £35 for the data controller application (please don't ask, I don't want to go into how...
I'm not too sure about an pre-existing solution already out there that would do that.
You may be better getting osCommerce, CubeCart or ZenCart and adding some bespoke features to specifically deal with what you have stated above.
I do believe, that with the ecommerce solutions I've mentioned...
You were also asked about the nature of your business, and this forum is about questioning others about their businesses, potential businesses or finding advice on how to run a business.
On a more relavent note though;
I don't particularly like cold-calling, but the majority of cold-calling...
