I have checked the agreement and it says its a Hire agreement. Fixed period of 36 months. If it is terminated early they repossess the equipment.
It says if it is terminated I have to return it. I am not sure if this means early. It says nothing else about what happens at the end.
I was told...
Hello,
I have been leasing some photographic equipment through my limited company. Around 2k worth, I pay around £60 +vat a month over 3 years.
For over a year now I have been expensing though the P&L the cost of the lease with no other accounting entries. I have now learned that this is the...
I use lastpass to generate huge random password with letters, numbers and symbols.
Just watch the length of the password you use. Some websites do not like long passwords. I have even had a few sites that accepted the password change but I could not log in.

If you check out the LastPass site they have a good technical explanation of how they keep your passwords safe.
Just remember not to forget your LastPass password as no one can recover it.
LastPass even stores secure notes. I find this very handy and use it all the time for additional info I...
SSD's do have there limitations depending on the type of SSD and your intended use but from what you have said you will have no problems.
If you can afford one, go for it.

Another vote for Chrome. I use so many computers I don't think I could live without syncing any more. I just wish they had the same functionality on phones and tablets.
Jeff FV has it spot on. I only made a profit of around £200 and therefore £500 would make it a loss.
During the first year I bought about £800 of assets, computer equipment etc and I have around the same in stock/materials. I have a balance on a CCard which covered the stock etc and I don't...
I am not sure what you mean. I never claimed to consider a set of accountants good. My response what to Kevin, he stated that an accountant that charged £500 for accounts prep, SA and advice, would not be worth their salt. My reply was that I had spoken to a number of accountants that were...
I realise that accountants have overheads, as do I. However there are the overheads of a plush office in the high street and then then is an accountant working from home/online.
Higher cost does not mean that you will receive a better service but I do understand that for the job to be done...
I have spoken to a number of chartered accountants who provide year end accounts, self assessment and ongoing advice for that price, I am sure they would consider themselves worth their salt.
I was not asking for a quote, just an idea of what just the accounts prep would cost when then book keeping was up to date, so that I could make a decision on how to proceed.
I agree £500 appears to be a common starting point for accountants pricing but that is usually for a range of services, self assessment, help through the year, plus other services that I do not need/cannot afford at the moment.
Theses days given the advances in computing, the internet and...
Thank you for all the replies. £500 is more than I wanted to pay given I did not make that in profit.
Inexpensive is good as long as the work is completed properly. I was hoping that given everything was up to date I could get a competitive price on just the account prep.
I will get various...
