Employing someone wasn't initially an option but that has now changed.
As for the different email addresses, that didn't quite work in the past. We found each people sometimes copied in another email (or "department") leading to duplicate emails, etc. It got a little confusing. It still...
Thanks for your perspective.
Yes, unqualifying is a serious possibility as sometimes we receive orders from companies which initially don't look much. Perhaps this is not an option after all.
Hi all,
Our sales office is struggling to cope with the high volume of enquiries over the last few months. It's only manned by 2 people and we are normally contacted via email by new and exisitng customers;
- requiring a quote
- placing an order
- chasing status of an order

Hi Tony,
Thanks for your response.
Yes, I have spoken with him regarding his asking price, and he would also be prepared to stay on for a cetain time period once the business was sold.
Hi all,
I am currently employed in a large organisation and have been told by one of my customers recently that he wishes to sell his business and retire.
I have often thought about working for myself, and have been doing good business with this particular customer for almost 10 years now...
Not too far at all. I live in Huntingdon but originally from Peterborough area.
Is it worth me sending you a PM of our sites to give you a better understanding of what we do, and what I am trying to achieve?
Hi Seoswat,

The below may or may not sound stupid to you but I am looking for a bit of advice, as I only understand the basics of SEO.
I have a small annual budget for marketing my company here in the UK. My German based colleagues, whom I report to, have revamped our .EU website but when I...
This appears to have turned in to an interesting debate.
The main thing I see coming from all of this is to try and have some good local support, and the perceived high cost is not that high if something goes wrong, and much cheaper than calling in an engineer when it does.
Thank you all for...
Thanks everyone.
I am not as clued up on this as you all are but we have a server, one PC and two laptops which are predominantly used externally. It's vital we keep our data securely stored.
And Steve, we run a sales office.
We are in East Anglia, and running a Windows server. And your correct in assuming we are not running exchange.
It just seems a lot as I guess most of the time it will be running with no problems at all.
It does help, thank you, but it worries me that I have been quoted almost £200 pcm!
We have all the hardware installed and simply need everything backed up with adhoc telephone & remote support.
