Independent consultant sick for several weeks: then what?

Due to sickness I'll be unable to work for weeks. As a company of one, if I cannot work then nothing happens. I want to add (from now on) a clause in contracts stating that if I am sick then I cannot be sued (e.g.) by client for delays. What kind of clause would make sense?

Adwords keyword both unavailable and expensive

"computational materials consultant" may not be found as such in webpages, but it can be found in searches. Also, I said I used the broad setting. I intend to use both organic and Adwords. (I am on the first page for computational materials consultant.)

Adwords keyword both unavailable and expensive

This happened for keywords like: computational materials consultant (broad match). This is narrow but quite relevant (that's what a niche is).

Adwords keyword both unavailable and expensive

I am a consultant in a niche market, so relevant keywords are not vastly popular (but I don't need millions of clients either). I am looking into Google Adwords, but for a number of keywords, it tells me "Low search volume", which is Adwordsese for 'you are too small potatoes for us to bother'...

    Adwords vs SEO

Alan, do you have a reference or link for that study?

The kind of jobs found on freelance websites

I did not want to hijack my own thread on freelance websites at http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/threads/freelance-websites.368294/ so I start a separate one. On top of students who want their dissertation ghostwritten and people who want a copy of google.com for $15, today I found these on...

Websites that don't work without third-party cookies

Sometimes, part of the page content is provided by a third party (e.g. the job openings of a company coming from their recruiting contractors). It may be a matter of third party to abc.co.uk being abc.com or abc-static.com, etc.

    Freelance websites

I got started, bidding on a few projects. I selected those for which I am likely to stand out and should normally be at least shortlisted. If I cannot plug my PhD, I forget about that project right away :) If I get nothing, then I'll drop the idea and look for work elsewhere.

Finding clients when they have little in common

My current and past clients have been in the fields of energy efficiency / renewable energy and finance (because this is where I looked). But I am not against clients in other fields that would have similar needs.

Websites that don't work without third-party cookies

cookie-monster didn't spot 3rd-party cookies. Funny thing is I tried to switch from `allow cookies only as 1st party' to `allow cookies' and now it works. Since I am on abc.com, allowing cookies from abc.com overall or just as 1st party should make no difference, but it does. Curiouser and...

Websites that don't work without third-party cookies

I don't allow third-party cookies by default, but some websites do not work without them. When this occurs I open Firefox options and allow third parties until I am done. This, obviously, is not ideal. How can I (i) identify where the cookies are from and (ii) allow them for that one site?

    Freelance websites

After looking at listings for a few days, I think I will focus on those jobs that require specific enough skills for the competition (from competent people) not to be too fierce. I'll spend the few tens of dollars necessary to be allowed to bid on these, and see if I get anything. If the lowest...

Finding clients when they have little in common

The crux is precisely that what they have in common is not readily visible.

    Freelance websites

There may a priori be a market for larger projects where it would make sense to take the time and resources to find the right freelancer.
