Pet Nanny,
I write a marketing column for Franchise World (http://www.franchiseworld.co.uk). They always receive new press releases which either make it into their magazine, or onto the website - send them an email with your release and see what they can do.
If you need more details, let me...
Pet Nanny,
Take a look at http://www.franchisecompany.co.uk - they offer a free initial franchise consultation. They should be able to help. Ask for Ken Rostron or Mashud.
Have any of you or your clients been approached by a company introducing themselves as Google Chrome? One of mine has - they were selling him Google Adwords.
There seems to be a wave of new businesses selling G Ads for a monthly fee (£149 seems popular) with a limit of 5 or 7 keywords.
They...
Hi,
We have built a directory using WordPress but we need to be able to order the events by calendar dates.
If any of you are WP experts, please PM me your details and I will email you the problems we are having. Hopefully we'll be able to come to some solution.
Cheers,
Liam
Hi Mike,
Yes, they are American. Another reputable company that we have come across is MailChimp, again American though.
We have had no problems with them since we started to use them. Initially we were looking for UK based companys, and found autoresponder, but their response to queries was...
Tech Fox,
We use a company called Vertical Response. Very flexible email system, and great support if you need it.
If you have any queries about these let me know.

Amazon will take 15%. Like I said, its quite a bit, but they take the payment for you.
The Amazon site also gets heaps of traffic! Look at some of the furniture sellers on there, and look at their feedback. This will give you an idea of how many sales they have in a month. From my clients...
Stacks,
Have you tried Amazon?
We manage quite a few clients on there - it works very well. The commission is a little higher than most other sites, but Amazon take the payment for you.
Let me know if you need more details.
Mark,
We have recently launched a Franchise Directory - http://www.USEafranchise.com . This currently only lists BFA members, but there is information on each of the members, together with links to the franchise section of their site.
Automotive SMART Repair are on the site, as are other...
Robbie,
If you are having problems with verifying your site for Google Webmaster Tools, you can simply submit your site through this: http://www.google.co.uk/addurl/?continue=/addurl
Your site will be picked up eventually by the search engines without using Webmaster Tools.
Hope this helps?
Hi,
Have you both tried Amazon? We manage many clients on here and they do very well. You can also look at Pixmania, eBay, PriceRunner & other price comparison sites.
Let me know if you have any queries.
Alex,
Are you looking to build the site yourself, or have someone build it for you? There are many web companies on this forum, obviously us being one of them, who could quote you for a new site. If this is the case, let me know.
Alex,
To encourage sales you may want to look at listing your products on other shopping sites. These have the advantage of being established and already attracting lots of traffic.
Once you have looked into this, you then need to work on your site. You may not like this, but it could do with...
We have looked after many client's products on Amazon, many sell more through Amazon than they do on their own site, and even if new merchants join the site, the level of sales are rarely affected.
I would never recommend to 'not touch Amazon' - how can you? Amazon reported a 9% increase in...
