Hi, I've never actually made EU purchases before for my business and i'm finding it hard to fill in the VAT return with these extra figures. Could someone please help me complete the boxes. These are just dummy amounts for the quarter:

£10,000 - Net VAT...
If I file an expenses claim to a VAT registered company for fuel (this is all they are paying for the use of my car) and they pay me the full value of the receipt. Are they allowed to go ahead and claim back the VAT on that receipt?

So margin scheme is optional, but only applies to initially buying from a non VAT registered member of public etc?
But lets say a VAT reg company buys a new product and claims back the VAT. Then when they come to sell the product secondhand, they will charge VAT on...
Oh ok, so basically any secondhand product is treated in this way then, and for the rest of it's life?
