Domain names; .com .co.uk .uk etc

Ok thanks. It's just the subtle difference of having www.brand.uk as opposed to www.brandword.co.uk or www.brand-word.com for example. I don't intend to pay the asking price right now but I'll keep my eye on it.

Domain names; .com .co.uk .uk etc

Thanks guys. What if the .com isn’t available? (I know it’s ideal for everything to be available but it never is. My brand name isn’t trade marked and the .com is used for an entirely different purpose) secondly is there any organic ranking benefit of .com?

Domain names; .com .co.uk .uk etc

Hi all, Interested to hear your opinions on domains - there's so many extensions now as mentioned in the title amongst others and I'd like to hear opinions on whether a long domain using .com is 'preferred' or 'better' to a shorter domain with a .uk or .site extension. E.G www.brand.site or...

    Clothing Line

How have they got funding without finding a manufacturer who can produce garments for them? Finding a good trusted manufacturer is a key part of any new clothing line, I doubt anyone would be willing to share when most have spent a lot of man hours researching/testing and learning.

Is it legal to trade under the same name as someone else

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but my question is similar. Can you register a trademark on a word which is used in everyday language? Such as 'exclusive' 'Apple' for example must have some protection but is it worth trademarking such a widely renowned word?

Charging excessive amounts for domain names

Hey, What is it with a large proportion of domain names being 'held' by third party companies trying to charge excessive amounts? I've come across at least 3 examples where I've found a domain to have been registered for 5+ years and these companies want to try and charge in excess of 20k! I...

Who do you use for your email client?

Interested to know people's opinions on email clients they have used, using their own domain names? And whether they're all the same or some come with other benefits?

Thanks. 2 final questions; - Any idea what this would cost? - How soon in the process would you get this in place? (before selling/10 sales/100 sales etc..)

    What kind of contract needed?

I don’t intend to write it myself.. maybe the way I worded it was wrong. I’m simply asking for what type of contract I need a professional to write up for me..
