The Jigsaw CCS Pocket Guide: Marketing Planning

What Do You Want to Achieve? It may seem like an obvious question, but sitting down and deciding your goals will help you better focus your marketing and achieve specific results more efficiently. Ask yourself why you’re marketing in the first place. Is it to increase turn-over and...

HTML in eMarketing and creative opportunities

Thanks this is a really good point, I will look in to it and try and get the minimum (X) number of characters needed.

HTML in eMarketing and creative opportunities

Yes, it's something I could look into. I have reservations about being 'too' creative (is there such a thing?) with javascript - some people don't even allow images in their incoming mail - and I'm worried it will take ages to load and they will immediately lose interest.

HTML in eMarketing and creative opportunities

Hello, I would like to request some advice on a project I have. The project I'm working on at the moment requires sending out a 'ransom note' (which will be a scan of a hand-made ransom note, you know, bits of newspaper letters glued on paper). There will be nothing else except one big image...

    Breath Tests

"...a group is studying various nanotechnologies, one of them uses sensors embedded in the steering wheel or gear shift that can measure blood-alcohol levels through the skin -- much as an exercise machine can measure a heart rate." - Maybe a bit too far in the future to think about now!

Running a competition to promote website

Always think about who you're targeting - if your competition is Facebook, then your goal is to lure users away from the site and on to yours, so start targeting Facebook accounts with 'come over and see what we can do better than FB...' for instance. (That said, if your competition is Facebook...

    Breath Tests

It all sounds very '1984' to me, but then I expect it is required when you're talking about something as dangerous as drink driving. If you do go ahead with the tests, my advice would be give everyone 30 days notice and let them know exactly how the system will work when it is introduced, this...

Hints and Tips on... Business Branding

Thank you, for your reply kind Sir! I made a point of saying 'may reduce printing costs' because I realise it's not always the case. I am curious as to which instances, such as using Pantones, it would turn out more expensive. Thank you for your input in advance! Dan

The Meerkat v The Italian Tenor ... Who Is Winning The Battle?

Completely agree. I actually mute the TV or turn over all together when the GC advert is played, I find myself diving for the remote, cursing my head off - how badly can you get a brand wrong??? In comparison, people have warmed to the meerkat, in the same way the have warmed to the Churchill...

    When 'tweeting' becomes relatively useful?

On a personal level, twitter has made me a very, very happy man. After 'following' twenty or so of my favourite design and marketing magazines/agencies/companies/blogs, I now have instant access to hundreds of links to articles and news posts of relevance to my interests. On a business (or at...
