Ah ok, my mistake, makes sense thanks! I'm just trying to keep the example simple so you can assume that we do not claim any VAT back on expenses. Thanks for the help, I understand that better now.
I just want to 100% make sure I understand this properly, if our company:
£100k revenue
£40k expenses
And assume a VAT rate of 20% and a corporate tax rate of 21%:
Our VAT bill would be £20,000
Our profit would then be £40,000 (£100k - £40k - £20k)
We are then corporation taxed 21% of the...
Steve, sadly that's all of what 99% of SEO 'experts' seem to do. And fools keep giving them money to do it.
For some reason email spam is seen as an evil, yet website spam is seen as an intelligent super secret that I'm meant to pay some goon to do often for a lot of money. The worst sort are...

Welcome to SEO. Most of these SEO companies are junk that spam peoples websites. When paying for SEO, make sure they aren't pomped up spam outfits and you understand what you are paying for.

Now if we wanted to make soft toys (completely different media) based on the characters...
We have a UK web host who's physical servers and network location is firmly and solely inside the UK. We're going to run the promotion, for obvious reasons I can't link to it but if people are interested I'm happy to give a review of the promotion after it's been run.
Because their customer base we perceive as being at a very low point as some of them may feel they have been let down in a big way.
We're having a small trickle of users moving over to us but we want to make ourselves better known in the customer base of the competitor and hope this promotion...
It's going to be run as a limited supply campaign to penetrate into a market that isn't aware of us. We could lose out on future sales of course but we think it's a calculated risk.
Yes that's the promotion we want to run. If you email us proof of purchase of the competitors product we email them back a free license for our software.
