    Yes I can provide a link to the site where the copyright holder made the image available and it comes with a valid creative commons licence CC BY 2.0

    How do you do this? refute the evidence if you can show the source didn’t restrict the use of the image on your blog. Is it worth emailing Pixsy back and informing them that the image has been removed and we did not know it needed permission and could we come to some agreement with the fee?

    We didn't know, we thought it was a creative common licence and free to use. When we understood that it was not we removed the image straight away.
