    The door opens inwards and the bottom is so close to the carpet a door mat wouldn't fit. Also a doormat is a trip hazard. Thanks for the suggestion. I did think about this myself but felt it would difficult to prove and for the time and effort pursuing it would probably not be worthwhile.
