A bit more info - PPC ads are great but I just ignore them myself. Again they obviously do work otherwise Google wouldn’t be where they are today. But I like to do something a little differently.
Ordinarily I would’ve asked kitchen shops to advertise Them but obviously they won’t have any...
Hi everyone,
I have designed a kitchenware product - think Le Creuset in the £100-200 price bracket. I am trying to think (slightly) outside of the box to create some brand awareness.
I thought with people at home more at the moment and the fact that I can target a leaflet drop specifically...
Hi Mr D, I apologise, I used an online fee calculator for Amazon a while back and seemed to remember after commission etc the fees worked out at about 30% - I just did that again and you are spot on its about 15%. Which is much better...
Thanks for the other resources, I will take a look!
Yes, kind of what I thought, to be honest. I thought I'd pose the question as most of these sites I found are stores but also have an optional 'makers directory' for £10 a year. I wondered if some of their visits might end up seeing this, but I suppose it is very unlikely.

Yes this is kind of what I had expected. I was nervous about cash flow selling wholesale anyway. But thought it would be helpful to have the information regardless.
Thanks!
Hi everyone!
I am just launching a new business and have designed a new kitchenware product. My plan was to sell D2C through social media and not to look at wholesale (at least for the time being). I have had a slight change of heart and think I might as well look into the idea.
Does anyone...
Also, from research the margins seem to support spending on advertising. So I am quite aware / comfortable with this.
I would love feedback from people with expertise in selling through ads online. Do they convert well?
Hi, thanks for taking time to reply. I particularly like the suggestion of testing the product for feedback at a local fair.
I agree, just because the market might be saturated, doesn’t mean there isn’t room for a small fish with quality product. Thanks again
Hi everyone, I am looking to generate some income on the side and I am contemplating starting a small candle business. As per my title, I want my products to be high quality, handmade, natural/using premium organic ingredients. I see this as the product niche, despite being a saturated market...
