Have you decided on the software you're going to use yet? You can get excellent design examples from the Bluepark or Shopify sites that don't need a great deal of skill to set up and tweak. If you're a bit more tech-minded you could get stuck into Woocommerce - a search for woocommerce themes...
oj_ux - 80% of TIME goes into content (and UX), 20% into PPC (keyword analysis, product push etc). Then the reverse is true of CASH spend! Its not a "rule" but just what works for us.
Nice post. +1 for Woocommerce with WP! Our ecommerce solution journey has been long and hard - from custom software (and a criminally overpaid developer) to hosted solution (Volusion, then very quickly to BluePark!) and now Woocommerce. Bluepark is excellent, but our need for customisation is...

Hi Hammur
My standard response to SEO: start simple and get the content and basics right first. We haven't found one tool for everything (that would probably be horribly complicated anyway), so we tend to work from a suite:
1) SEOQuake diagnosis (Firefox addon)
2) ScreamingFrog.co.uk (SEO...
Hey Stevie
If you are extending your brand to online, then you (IMHO) should keep your prices identical online and "in store". It just reduces trust and confidence in your brand to have it any other way. Even "web only" offers usually seem to mean "cheap dropshipped version of the good one we...
IMHO: Go for a unique name even if it means adding another word. Get both co.uk and com. Redirect (301) the com to co.uk if uk is to be your core business, other way around if you're aiming international.
