I think if he was a fraudster it would be quite a lot of effort for £15. Annoying as it is, I'd let it go and save yourself some valuable time. Plus, imagine it's all genuine and you get abad review for your business. That would cost you more than £15.
You can. And I imagine that with dog walking you don't need to lease premises.
What is an issue however is that you have to very carefully vet people and still, just like with employees, there is no guarantee on how they will turn out whilst working.
I chose to open a private practice because it...
I have three people in my business who could run it but don't want to. I myself am not trained in it as I specialize in something else and have no desire to spend a few thousand on it.
People don't really need it. The information and the learning is the same as the clients get in sessions...
Quick update: The "team member" has replied and is saying that they are doing this specific therapy and are recommending this workshop as they think that their clients will benefit from it. She just forgot to pick them up and is happy for me to remove them but not to ditch them as they belong to...
Ok, then I will send out a memo. It's a small business and people can be asked to leave easily as I'm not employing them. I do have a clause however that I will end the contract if there is any behaviour that is unethical and/or could damage the practice.

Unfortunately nothing. There are practice rules but it was so unthinkable for me that someone might do that that it didn't enter my mind. I guess it's one of those business things people learn as they go along unless they have run a few businesses before.
That's how a lot of therapy businesses work in the UK. A therapist will take out a lease or buy premises ie set up a therapy centre and let the other rooms to other therapists and psychologists. Of course only after interviewing and vetting them etc. They pay rent for the room usage and get...
I run the business they work under. Although they are not employees, they work from my business and are part of a team of therapists. By advertising a different centre the person is potentially supporting a competitor and also not referring to someone else in our team.
The leaflets have 100% been left by one of the team members as they have taken a training course with the competitor.
The first time this happened (someone has left them in our waiting room) I explained that this is not allowed unless it is a training course for us therapists and then only to...
State clearly by when they need to have paid and what happens if there is delayed or non-payment. You could send an invoice with the small print and your business account details.
Hi there,
I run a therapy practice with independent practitioners working as part of the practice by renting out my therapy rooms to them and giving them referrals etc. It is a great business with great reputation.
On two occasions however I have found advertising materials for a "competitor"...
