Third countries don't have freedom of movement of goods, so you will invoiced VAT (Import VAT), best to get registered for VAT in Germany so you can reclaim the VAT.
ABC trading from outside the single market will see you hit with VAT, which will be hard to recover as the movement of goods between member states would be seen as an import.
Unfortunately, you can't do any of this, as the UK voted out of freedom of movement of goods. Postboxes don't make you compliant or legal in any way or form I'm afraid.

MOSS doesn't exist anymore, you'll need to register for the Non-Union scheme under OSS in the EU. The scheme is a simplification for VAT reporting in the 27 member states... and it's not complex.
