    BB code in signature

I would like to add a signature and want to include a BB code link. Is that possible and, if so, how? It looks as if others have a BB code signature, but when I edit mine I get an error message: "BB code url is not allowed." Any help much appreciated...!

Would you pay to sponsor a blog?

The question sounds like a rephrased version of - "would you ever pay to advertise on a website" - Of course I would! :) The price I would be willing to pay would be related to the amount of traffic and the quality of visitors to the blog. Maybe you could find some related or similar website...

    one simple question

Assuming you mean for integrating with a website. They are both similar and really easy/quick/cheap to integrate with your site. Some people prefer Google others prefer Paypal. Last time I checked conversion rates were better with Paypal although this may have changed. Paypal also doesn't...

    Setting up a website, eek!

I agree that Wordpress is a good platform for a cheap but good website. You can quite easily set this up yourself but I tend to advice business startups not to develop their own websites but rather focus on developing the business instead. If you want I can help set your website up very cheaply...

Are you focussing on SEO at the expense of conversion rates? You shouldn't worry about SEO and follow your instinct and link to as many pages as you want from the top page in order to increase usability of the site. Often usability for a human works well in terms of search engine usabiliy as...

Need Advice on Starting My First Online Shop. Please Help!

One quick way to set up a simple shop that I can reccommend is to set up a paypal cart. You can have an inventory managed shop set up in a few minutes... This could be a cheap and quick starting point - if it works you could opt for a more advanced e-commerec package. With regards to the...

This is probably too simple for this section...

I'd say you can let the site evolve... Often you have to make changes to see where you want to take the site, i.e you can't always plan the whole project in advance. Create a Wordpress based site that is really quick to set up and very lets you tinker and evolve it without too much effort.

    Duplicate websites at different URLs

There can be perfectly valid and legal resons for having multiple domain names pointing to the same content so I wouldn't worry about it so long as you do the correct redirects, etc. If you can afford it then you could just experiment with it yourself. Do a 301 redirect as sanjiv suggests, and...

    New Website

If it is a side-project I would not bother with trying to make any real money other than perhaps set up Adsense or similar that doesn't take any effort. If the site is fairly new I would hold back on advertising until you have built up some reasonable traffic. Perhaps just use one or a couple...
