    400gsm is just standard thickness - very ordinary. 500gsm is minimum thickness for a "special business card" - in fact 540gsm Colorplan card is where it starts to get interesting...

    Yes agreed - and if it's minimalist it needs to be printed on something a bit more interesting than coated 300/400gsm card. Letterpress printing on extra thick (500gsm+) natural grained card makes the difference.
