    Erewash Council called me on Sunday May 3rd to tell us they had funding from the Governmment and that we should apply asap.We did so on Tuesday the 5th and today received the £10k. Very easy and slick process.

    Im a construction company owner. We use RBS and have a very good relationship with them. We are pretty cash rich with no credit debts so don't use them for funding etc, although about 12 years ago we did use the available overdraft facility.

    Our accountant had to have the company valued, and then the tax man took his 40% as it was classed as a benefit to the reciever.

    Depends how your accountant works it, my tax is due in 4 installments over 2 years.

    And the reciever will have to pay tax on the share value (as this will be classed as a benefit), so you cannot give for free as the tax man will want a cut. I know this as I have recently been through the same process.
