T & Cs on website - prevent copying?

It's not that the T&Cs are special, just paid for. If someone pays for T&Cs, then it's reasonable to make it at least difficult for someone to just copy and paste them. Yes, if someone is that determined then good for them, but you're not doing yourself any favours by just making it too easy...

T & Cs on website - prevent copying?

Thanks for the info. I had a search around and came up with this method using Box.net - I've tested it and it seems to work well. :) http://chrislema.com/embedding-pdfs-on-wordpress/

T & Cs on website - prevent copying?

Does anyone know of a way to prevent copying of an image, pdf or block of text in a Wordpress website? I'm uploading my T & Cs and although someone could manually copy write them, I'd like to make it difficult to just copy and paste them. Thanks

    Safe download site for font

Hi I need to download the 'Review' font for a customers logo and there are a number of sites that give a free download but I'm always cautious about downloading from new sites. Does anyone know of a reputable site where I can download this font from? Thanks. Chris

    Domain name renewal query (worry!)

What is the name of the company that has your domain name registered with? The IPS tag transfers the domain registration to another provider. If your current provider will not provide the transfer then the internet Registrar can force the IPS change. I think it costs £10 + VAT or something, and...

My server down on Vidahost AGAIN.

Mine seem okay, for what its worth. Their site shows that they had a problem with a cpanel server but that was resolved on Friday.

Windows 7 32bit restore to new disk + complications

I would use a program such as Acronis to create an image of disk one and make sure to include the MBR. I'd then restore the image to the new disk and you should be able to boot from it as normal, using the copied MBR. You cannot convert 32bit to 64bit unless you perform a reinstall using a...

Comments are disabled, so how are people still leaving comments on my site?

They can also add comments to images, so it may be worth checking where/what the comments are attached to.

    Wireless Connection

I'm assuming that you can see the router name in the list of available networks? Go to Control Panel > Device Manager and check to see if there are any icons showing for the wireless network adapter, such as an exclamation mark or cross. Also right click the wireless adapter in the Device...

    Windows 8.1

Except that there are problems with some people using the 8.1 update - there's even been a mention on here... http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=311577 Personally I'm still going to advise customers to stick with Win7 if possible or wait a while until Microsoft get it...

What start up applications should be running?

Generally, you'll see the obvious ones you can untick, such as toolbars, etc. but be aware that some update programs such as for Adobe Reader and Java are needed as they can be security problems if not updated. A lot of Manufacturer startups are bloatware but again, some are useful so Google...

    Cloning server drive... what software?

I use Acronis too and would recommend that you make sure that you buy the 'Universal Restore' module too. This allows you to replace the image on dissimilar hardware if necessary as it takes care of different motherboard drivers, etc. Well worth the little bit extra and has saved my bacon in the...

Help me to send FLV Plyer virus to the Hell

For what it's worth, it's not recommended to just delete various folders as a lot of modern viruses replicate themselves in other parts of the system, e.g the system restore files. You may think it's gone but can come back when you least expect it. As mentioned earlier, Malwarebytes is a good...

Laptop Harddrive dead or dieing - Simple question

Another alternative would be do buy Recovery discs from Dell (around £25-£30) which you can use to put Vista on the new drive. This depends on how much you want to spend but in any case I'd try to get some diagnostics on the hardware first. Chris
