I prefer a medium to large firm, one that I know will still be in business in 10 years time and has a track record. Changing accountants is stressful as you never going to know what your going to get and for how long
You are spot on, but really depends if you can find them. They are very rare to find and I find the more common ballpark is 950-1800. The lower cost, extras which are standard like payroll, using their address or confirmation statements would be add ons sadly, which make their initial price...
As the thread goes, Is it normal for companies to get new proposals every year from their accountants and potentially increase prices.
If it is, how much do you think is a reasonable increase. ? I've experienced 10%+ every year, what is everyone's thoughts on this?
Say company turn over less...
just following up, I've signed up with a local firm with google reviews and qualified ACCA staff. Surprisingly they came up alot cheaper than the TAP given their not an online only firm for the same service.
I used to be under Bradleys Accountants who are also an online accountant, I guess conveyerbelt accountant. Been with them for almost 10 years
But sadly I got an email last week, they are ceasing operation in 2 weeks citing covid as a reason.
They used to charge me 880 incl vat for accounts...
I've been looking in this and other firms as my accountant is moving on.
I can see someone else asked this question a few years ago but not many personal experiences:

I wonder if anyone...
