    On page or Off Page?

Recently I was looking at about 5-6 or so Golf courses/clubs here in Northern Ireland. I compared the on site SEO of all the sites. The golf club associated with Rory Mcilroy performed the best across a range of keywords, even though it's on site SEO wasn't as strong as some of the others. Off...

What is the difference between soft 404 and 404 errors?

A soft 404 happens when a page that has been deleted or removed displays a ‘page not found’ message, but fails to return the correct HTTP 404 status.

Do you think google tard is clever enough to understand this

Well if you type in mon£y, and it's used in isolation nope. However if it's used in context then yes. Type into Google 'I need some mon£y' and they will give you the auto correct suggestion.

How important are sitemaps in 2015?

If you do a site operator check and all the pages are there then Google can index them, and can navigate your site. This isn't necessarily the same as having a correct site architecture that passes more authority and juice to important pages throughout the site.

3-4 months in, SEO company's results seem underwhelming to me

Sometimes an SEO is lucky enough to work on a site that is clearly under performing, for instance there are 300 pages and all the page titles are the same. This type of work is a gift because with one tweak you'll see great improvement. 6 or so hours a month isn't a great deal of work, and for...

    Ranking question

I'd guess that Google is trying to decide which page is the most relevant for the keyword. Try and strengthen the ranking signals for the page that you want returned for that particular keyword (both on site and off site, including internal links), and weaken the other page.
