Hi all,
Wondered if anyone could help -
I received an order today from an old customer - I just get a small occasional order from them. i noticed that the customers business name had changed from eg, AB Ltd to BA Ltd. Anyway he paid for the order with a debit card and asked for the order to...
With respect, the question you should be asking is "how much does it cost to defend a patent?"
I recently attended a presentation entitled "so you think you want a patent" by a leading IP Barrister - it was real eye opener!! and has pretty much put me off ever seeking patent protection...
Thanks obscure, I'll see how things pan out with the current case - since I'm pretty sure we will win the case if it goes to court - we will probably seek a settlement out of court.
I did, by amazing coincidence, I bumped into a barrister who is highly regarded in the IP field and he pretty...
Thanks for your input all. I think I'll avoid naming and shaming - although I have the most comprehensive proof of ownership possible going back a few years. I have kept all original concepts and final designs - have proof of first publication, original brochures and flyers along with dates of...

I'd...
Hi Short Time Stationery
Yes I have the address he supplied to ebay - which guess what, is not the address to which his Ltd co is registered. The ebay address seems to be the address of a family member/partner-in-crime in a poor attempt to disguise who is really behind the fakes. However I...
Thank you SolsburyHill,
Good advice! I will think about it today - and ask via a solicitors letter for the goods to be offered up - ( I know he has at least 40 of one of the items as he had 2 listings and each stated the 20 were available. Another offending item (also removed by ebay) had...
Well, thumbs up for ebay! - they delisted the offending items - they seem to react pretty quickly the Intellectual property infringements.
I now need to know what can be done about the FAKE stock this guy has? I will talk to an IP lawyer but wonder if anyone has managed to get the offender to...
Thanks SolsburyHill for your reply - I 've studied the links which were very useful and although my designs are not registered I am very sure that my case is strong - the ebayer has made a direct copy of my design which is very distinctive and instantly recogniseable as being mine. They have...
