I thought this is the best place to post this query that has us somewhat unsure on the issue of us overpaying VAT when selling on Amazon marketplace based on seller fulfilled or Amazon fulfilled.
Question:
Seller Fulfilled transaction for £10.00
We pay VAT on the £10.00. However we can offset...
nice one, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Also, question:
Seller Fulfilled transaction for £10.00
We pay VAT on the £10.00. However we can offset based on VAT invoice we received from supplier, courier and packaging company which is our basic cost of sale:
item cost
postage (royal...
In a bricks and mortar store that is quite standard (though if I was importing direct I would be wanted to triple not just double) and that will give you a profit margin of around 40%.
However if you are selling on the marketplaces which take say 15% on average from your final selling price...
Thanks for everyone for contributions.
It is a long journey for us, I will be sure to update as I continue to go along.
What I like about Visualsoft is that they appear to be a very strong ecommerce solution, including ebay and amazon and they do partner up with intelligient retail.
So...
interesting, I have not had experience but I am a 3rd party retailer reseller. Not a brand or manufacturer supplying trade etc.
Some of our suppliers do not like supplying Amazon direct due to their terms and conditions, like said above, the fines for mis-delivery slots. The 60/90 day credit...
Also please lesliedocherty can you let me know what website is yours? Or if you want to remain anonymous could you perhaps give an indication of:
approx total revenue per channel (stores, www, ebay, amazon)
number of items you have total
number of staff
number of tills
Finally, can you tell me...
I guess to summarise where I am at now:
shop stocks and sales is currently king in terms of stock holdings (SKU's), revenue and brand. I would say it is the bread and butter.
Therefore I am looking at going with a good (very good) EPOS system but then not using their in-house ecommerce. To...
OK, my research still shows that a multitude of companies would be better than one standard package? Can you provide a company that does everything then please?
Thanks for advice re: opencart.
So far my research has got me thinking that there is no one provider who is expert in: shop EPOS, Amazon, eBay, website, back office, accounts etc
So, I need to go with EPOS provider for shop who integrates with a great ecommerce package as this will cover both...
UPDATE: Brightpearl gave super customer service to me the past 24hrs and have advised that I look at Intelligent Retail and Visualsoft.
I really recommend Brightpearl upfront, honest approach and recommendation service.
Typically an EPOS system would cost anything from £10 monthly (very basic entry level) to £100,000 set up + custom bespoke system.
Our current set up:
7000 items in shop and garden centre
1300 items on esellerpro (not linked/integrated at all with shop and garden centre)
500 items sold per...
what a good idea, yes parcel2go , interparcel, wedelivertheworld etc etc are good sites but they are the resellers, they therefore will not be showing all available rates.
so, yes, KRC is not talking about creating "another one of those sites" - if I understand correctly, you want to create a...
thanks everyone, spoke to council and planning permission would not be required as usage (retail) will stay the same so providing we do not start external building works which would have an impact on the frontage then all is ok.
"pop up" shops have had quite a bit of flair recently thanks...
Hi, it has been going on for around 6 weeks. After doing further research on traffic, conversion %, sales # of orders, it does seem that mainly Amazon sales are affected and it appears that we are getting the same (sometimes higher) traffic but with less buy box %.
Thus I think that...
