  • Sorry to bother you, but read a post and you seem to know your stuff, so here goes:
What happens if someone moves and they don't inform Bright House, and decide to stop paying? A friend has a TV, washer, laptop and sofa with BH, all coming to nearly £100 a week. They have had to go on to benefits due to their work closing down, so cannot afford the payments.

I was just wondering what will happen? Can BH find them? What happens if they do? Will they have their goods removed from them? Been searching and no where has any real answers! Some say the police get involved because it is theft, others are saying BH sells the debt on after 90 days. If the debt does get sold on, do the debt collectors still take the goods, or just seek the money that is left on the contract leaving you with the goods?

Thanks for any advice, I'm just worried they have gotten themselves in to a sticky situation without knowing what is going to happen.

Also I have seen something about them not registering with credit agencies (not doing credit checks), this is apparently meant to mean they can't do something like affect credit or something, its not clear. Please could someone clear this up?
